Hybrid Weekly BIPOC sangha
Time Every Monday 3:40 to 5:00 pm Mountain Time
In-person and Zoom Venue: Crown Institute. Details will be sent after registration
Co-Facilitators
Kritee (Kanko), Zen Buddhist teacher & Climate Scientist
Natalie Avalos, a CU professor & meditation practitioner
Format
We will do humming or chanting at the beginning, then guided meditation for half an hour and then share what pain arises during our meditation in small or big groups. The shares can be about meditation techniques or about life, genocides or breakdown of mainstream structures.
What this space is not for?
We will center BIPOC rest and healing. This is not a place for "outer" political strategizing but a place for "inner” spritual freedom and belonging in the middle of chaos.
Cost
These sessions are offered free of cost but donations in the spirit of generosity will be very welcome! Please clearly mark “Monday BIPOC sits” when you donate. We will offer the donations to causes that support BIPOC communities’ outer liberation.
